There are three medical professionals who specialize
in eye care, the Opticians, ophthalmologists and
Optometrists. At Hispana Vision we connect you
with the proper area of medical care.
Optician
Opticians can measure you for eyewear, fit you for
contact lenses and take care of the lab processing
or tinting of glasses. These are the pharmacists of
the medical eye care, taking whatever prescription
of glasses or eye care you need and making it possible.
Optometrist
Your optometrist is a doctor of optometry who
specializes in the diagnosis, medical treatment and
management of eye diseases, as well as prescribing
glasses and contact lenses. Your optometrist attended
undergraduate college and completed a four-year
doctorate program in optometry.
Ophthalmologist
Your ophthalmologist is a doctor of medicine
specializing in eye disease diagnosis and
management along with medical and surgical
treatment. An ophthalmologist performs eye
examinations, surgery and also prescribes
glasses and contact lenses. Your ophthalmologist
has attended undergraduate college, medical
school and has trained in hospitals and clinics to
specialize in ophthalmology. |
